Bryan Abasolo is addressing his split from Rachel Lindsay just hours after filing for divorce from the former “Bachelorette.”
“If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I don’t like to put my personal life on social media and like to keep a safe space for our family,” Abasolo wrote on Instagram Tuesday. “Many of you know me as a chiropractor, and also as a husband, my proudest role so far.”
“After more than 4 years of marriage, Rachel and I have made the difficult decision to part ways and start anew,” he continued. “My parents have been married forever and I’m a family man, but sometimes loving yourself and your partner means you must let go.”
The 43-year-old, who wanted fans to hear the news directly “from the source,” concluded the post by asking for “space” as he and Lindsay “figure out [their] next steps.”
While the attorney, 38, has yet to directly address her split from Abasolo, she posted several cryptic Instagram Stories on Monday, including a workout selfie with a caption about “sweating out everything from 2023.”
She also reposted a graphic about the “lessons” she learned this past year, such as being OK with outgrowing people, accepting people’s true colors and not forcing things.

The chiropractor cited “irreconcilable differences” in the divorce filings obtained by Page Six on Tuesday. He listed their date of separation as Dec. 31, 2023.
Abasolo, who does not share any children with the “Miss Me With That” author, is requesting spousal support.
The estranged couple got engaged on Season 13 of “The Bachelorette,” which aired in 2017. They tied the knot two years later in Mexico.
Since then, Bachelor Nation fans have long suspected that there has been trouble in paradise due to the fact the pair are rarely seen or photographed together.
However, the attorney-turned-TV personality explained on the “Viall Files” podcast last month that she and Abasolo decided to keep their marriage private after sharing so much of the early days of their romance with the public.
“We don’t put ourselves out there at all [except] maybe an anniversary or a holiday [post here and there], but I think I did that because people were so critical of us when we came off the show,” she told host Nick Viall.
“I just [was like], ‘I want to keep this for ourselves’ and, you know, marriage has ups and downs, but you never know when we’re good or when we’re not because we never put it out there,” she continued. “I kind of want to keep it that way, so when I want to share something, I do.”
Yet during the same episode, Lindsay admitted that she and the hunky chiropractor had been living “totally different lives” in recent years.
She explained that Abasolo “is a sole practitioner” and typically works from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. during the week while she has “a lot more free time” in her line of work.
“So, we’re just in two totally different places,” she said.
