Spotify Wrapped 2022: How to Watch Your 'Listening Personality' and 'Audio Day' - CNET

Spotify released on Wednesday its 2022 Wrapped recaps, the annual digital experience that digs through the data of your musical tastes for the year.

This year's Wrapped includes new features like your Myers-Briggs-style "listening" personality type and a tracker of how your musical mood changes over the course of a day. As usual, Wrapped also sums up your own top artists, genres, songs and podcasts, plus total minutes listened on Spotify.

Wrapped is one of the streaming service's most popular features, as well as the hook for a major marketing campaign. Spotify itself is the world's biggest streaming music service by number of users, making its annual data recap one way to take the pulse of the world's listening habits.

This year's Wrapped recaps include:

  • Your Listening Personality: Users get sorted into 16 music personalities -- like the Deep Diver, the Replayer, the Adventurer or the Fanclubber -- that describe your approach to listening.
  • Audio Day: A progressive look at how your music habits evolve throughout the day, with Spotify defining your vibe for morning,  daytime and night. My morning mood, apparently, is partly "somber friendly," whatever that means.
  • Your Artist Messages: Expanding on feature last year, Spotify is dropping video cameos from top artists into recaps. Last year, Spotify had more than 100 artists record a thank-you message to fans. This year, more than 40,000 participated. If your own top artists include someone who recorded a cameo, you should see one or more pop up in your Wrapped feed.

Spotify also launched Wrapped "creator" experiences for artists and podcasters on the service, which are individualized microsites delving into how their fans listened over the year.

All the ways to share your Wrapped on social networks are back, plus new social cards to share on WhatsApp and Line this year. Snapchat also has a personalized lens that reflects your assigned Listening Personality.

How to watch your Wrapped recap

CNET Tech Tips logo

Wrapped experiences are available only in Spotify's mobile app for Android devices and Apple iPhones or iPads. Just make sure you have the latest version of the Spotify app downloaded, which is version 8.7.78.

The app will have multiple entry points to your Wrapped experience, including banners on the Home, Search and Library tabs, as well as a full "Your 2022 in Review" shelf on Home. You can also search the app for "2022 Wrapped."

If you're already on your Apple or Android device, you can simply visit this web page, which should automatically open your Wrapped experience in the app.

If you still can't find your Wrapped, it's possible you haven't used Spotify enough to generate sufficient data to create a personalized recap. For users to be eligible for Wrapped, they must stream at least 30 tracks for more than 30 seconds, as well as stream at least five artists, sometime between Jan. 1 and early November.

Hailey Bieber Shows Her Ovarian Cyst “the Size of an Apple” - E! NEWS

Hailey Bieber is sharing a painful health update on social media.

The Rhode Beauty founder detailed a recent health challenge alongside an image posted Nov. 28 to her Instagram Stories. Hailey is seen lifting up her sweatshirt to show her torso, though she clarified that the inflated area was "not a baby."

"I have a cyst on my ovary the size of an apple," she wrote on her Instagram Stories. "I don't have endometriosis or PCOS but I have gotten an ovarian cyst a few times and it's never fun."

Endometriosis, according to the Mayo Clinic, occurs when uterus tissue grows outside the uterus, while PCOS—Polycystic ovary syndrome—is the development of cysts along the outer edge of the ovary. In Hailey's case, she didn't provide information about the nature of her cyst, but instead detailed how it makes her feel.

Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford star in explosive trailer for 'Yellowstone' prequel '1923' - CNN

CNN  —

Fans of the TV blockbuster “Yellowstone” are in for a treat after Paramount + released a preview of the upcoming prequel “1923” – starring Harrison Ford and Oscar-winner Helen Mirren.

The official trailer, which runs at 90 seconds long, promises high drama when the second installment of the “Yellowstone” origin story premieres on December 18 in the US and Canada and the following day in the UK and Australia,

Created by actor and filmmaker Taylor Sheridan, “1923” is the next chapter in the tale of the Dutton clan, introducing a new generation of the family led by patriarch Jacob (Ford) and matriarch Cara (Mirren).

According to a statement issued by Paramount+, “the series will explore the early twentieth century when pandemics, historic drought, the end of Prohibition and the Great Depression all plague the mountain west, and the Duttons who call it home.”

“Yellowstone,” which follows the lives and drama of the modern-day Dutton family, owners of the largest ranch in Montana, has been a massive hit for Paramount+ and stars another movie star, Kevin Costner.

The much-anticipated “1923” follows on the success of another “Yellowstone” spinoff – “1883” – which stars real-life spouses Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, along with Sam Elliott. It tells the story of how the family came to own Yellowstone ranch.

Speaking with an Irish accent, Mirren, 77 – who won an Academy Award in 2006 for her role in “The Queen” – looks set to be a formidable opponent for those trying to take over her family’s land.

In one scene in the trailer, she warns: “Men kill quick with a bullet or a noose. But the fight is with me and I kill much slower.”

Her on-screen husband, Ford, 80, appears equally intimidating, growling: “You attack my family, it’s gonna be the last thing you ever do.”

The show, which also stars former James Bond actor Timothy Dalton as the couple’s villainous “neighbor” Donald Whitfield, was originally set to be called “1932,” but it was reworked to encompass the end of World War I and the start of Prohibition.

Helena Bonham Carter Rails Against Cancel Culture, Defends J.K. Rowling and “Vindicated” Johnny Depp - Hollywood Reporter

Helena Bonham Carter is making it quite clear how she feels about so-called cancel culture, along with sharing her thoughts on such embattled public figures as Johnny Depp and J.K. Rowling.

During an interview with The Times that published online Saturday, Bonham Carter criticized the notion that someone’s personal life should impact their career: “Do you ban a genius for their sexual practices? There would be millions of people who if you looked closely enough at their personal life you would disqualify them. You can’t ban people. I hate cancel culture. It has become quite hysterical and there’s a kind of witch hunt and a lack of understanding.”

Related Stories

When asked whether there is a path to redemption for such Hollywood notables, the Oscar-nominated actress said, “I don’t think there is for someone like Kevin Spacey. And Johnny certainly went through it.”

In responding to a follow-up question specifically about Depp, who has co-starred with her in multiple films and is godfather to the two children she shares with former partner Tim Burton, Bonham Carter said she feels the Pirates of the Caribbean star is “completely vindicated” following his high-profile trial involving ex-wife Amber Heard. Bonham Carter added, “I think he’s fine now. Totally fine.”

When asked whether a Virginia jury awarding Depp $15 million in his defamation suit against Heard earlier this year was a sign of the #MeToo pendulum swinging back, Bonham Carter replied, “My view is that she got on that pendulum. That’s the problem with these things — that people will jump on the bandwagon because it’s the trend and to be the poster girl for it.”

During the trial, Depp denied ever striking Heard and accused her of lying about his alcohol and drug use. He and Bonham Carter have worked together in films including Corpse Bride, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Alice in Wonderland and Dark Shadows.

The actress was also impassioned about the blowback that Harry Potter author Rowling has received over comments that have been criticized as transphobic. Bonham Carter played Bellatrix Lestrange in the four most recent Harry Potter films.

“It’s horrendous, a load of bollocks. I think she has been hounded,” Bonham Carter said about Rowling. “It’s been taken to the extreme, the judgmentalism of people. She’s allowed her opinion, particularly if she’s suffered abuse. Everybody carries their own history of trauma and forms their opinions from that trauma and you have to respect where people come from and their pain. You don’t all have to agree on everything — that would be insane and boring. She’s not meaning it aggressively, she’s just saying something out of her own experience.”

When asked about the film franchise’s stars — such as Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint — who have spoken out about Rowling’s remarks, Bonham Carter said, “Personally I feel they should let her have her opinions, but I think they’re very aware of protecting their own fan base and their generation.”

'RHOA' alum Porsha Williams marries Simon Guobadia in Nigerian ceremony - Page Six

Porsha Williams is a Mrs. again!

The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum married Simon Guobadia in a Nigerian traditional native law and custom ceremony at the Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta on Friday, People reported.

Williams, who described the day as “a true fashion extravaganza,” had three outfit changes.

For the ceremony, she wore an over-the-top, deep red, princess-style wedding gown with feathers and gold embellishments by designer Lakimmy, along with an okuku, a headpiece with Benin coral beads.

It was the same dress the reality star, 41, accidentally showed over 2,000 of her Instagram followers while livestreaming earlier this month.

For the reception, she changed into two different gowns by designer Tabik: one in royal blue and one in gold.

The couple’s 250 guests — which included several Bravolebrities — wore traditional or formal Nigerian-inspired attire in purple and teal.

The ceremony was led by a spokesperson from each of their families, while traditional Benin singers and dancers performed. Guobadia, 57, is from Benin City in the Edo State of Nigeria.

For the reception, Williams said she wanted attendees to feel like they had “taken a flight and landed in Benin,” as the space was decorated with “beautiful colors of browns and rose golds and tans and creams.”

“The other thing I wanted was trees in the room,” she added. “I want[ed] it to feel like an inside/outside space, but luxurious.”

Williams and Guobadia also asked that their guests remain unplugged because they “want[ed] people to be in the moment.”

Though the “Pursuit of Porsha” author was “adamant” that the event honored the businessman’s roots, she made sure the food included southern staples like “fried lobster, steak and cornbread.”

According to People, the lovebirds will say “I do” in an American celebration on Saturday evening in front of 350 guests.

Fellow “RHOA” alums/stars Kandi Burruss, Kim Zolciak-Biermann, Cynthia Bailey, Drew Sidora and Monyetta Shaw are expected to attend the church ceremony, followed by a ball and after-party.

T.I. and wife Tiny Harris are also on the guest list.

“It’s our last marriage, OK? We belong together. That is it,” Williams, who was previously married to Kordell Stewart and engaged to Dennis McKinely, told the publication. “It’s a blessing to be able to find your person. It doesn’t happen often.”

Williams and McKinley share daughter Pilar Jhena (“PJ”), 3, while Guobadia has five kids — Quentin, Nicole, Christian, Benjamin and Ximena — from previous marriages.

The “Porsha’s Family Matters” star noted that she’s “absolutely” open to expanding her family with her new husband.

“I’ve always wanted to have four kids, so it’s a blessing that he has three younger ones that are at home a lot of the time, and then I have my Pilar,” she shared.

“But as far as me being able to experience having a child with him, I definitely want to explore that. I’m not sure how many that will include, but I definitely know it wouldn’t be more than two.”

The newlyweds got engaged in May 2021 after a month of dating. They met on Season 13 of “RHOA” when Guobadia was married to cast “friend” Falynn Pina.

‘Dancing With The Stars’ Reveals Season 31 Winner - Deadline

Dancing with the Stars‘ first season on Disney+ has come to end! So much change has already been announced going into tonight’s season 31 finale. First, judge Len Goodman and Cheryl Burke have called it quits. Then, Disney gave Bob Chapek the heave-ho and rewarded Bob Iger with his old CEO seat. A desperate plea from the cheap seats, Mr. Iger: return the mirror ball to ABC! I think we can all agree that this streaming experiment has gone the way of the polka: no one wants Disney+ anywhere near the ballroom. Perhaps moving it back home to Mondays on ABC can be your next major decision after lowering the price for the Genie+ line-skipping service at the parks?

Speaking of redemptive acts, it’s time for the couples to redo their performances from the season.

Wayne Brady and Witney Carson. The game show host instinctively knew that he would be asked to redo the quickstep from week 6. Len Goodman implored Brady to improve his frame and show off his “boyish grin” while performing to “Higher and Higher” by Jackie Wilson. Brady showed signs of progress, but Goodman wasn’t completely satisfied. “I must say I thought your frame was stronger … however it needed a little more movement,” Goodman said. “You know I’m a fan of yours … I have to say what I say, it could have done with a little more flow.” Score: 36 out of 40

Shangela and Gleb Savchenko. With Bruno Tonioli as their mentor, the duo revisited their quickstep from week 2. Dressed in white top hats and crystal-encrusted silk costumes, the pair opened the show by bouncing about to “Queen Bee” by Rochelle Diamante — but Shangela missed a key step at the beginning that didn’t go unnoticed by the judges. “So many people inspire me but you excite me,” said Carrie Ann Inaba. “You have grown and that is what redemption round is about.” Score: 36 out of 40

The competition took a brief break to say goodbye to Burke, who announced Sunday that she’s leaving the show after 26 seasons. The two-time Mirror Ball champ danced the Argentine tango and samba to “Copacabana” with Pasha Pashkov and Louis Van Amstel before giving a final speech to the crowd. “This is my family, every single person that was part of this cast, every single person, thank you for believing in me,” she said. “Thank you for helping me find my voice. You guys have been part of my identity. Thank you for pushing me to be the greatest artist I could be.”

Gabby Windey and Val Chmerkovskiy. D’Amelio’s only competition was instructed by Derek Hough to revisit her Cha Cha from Bond night during week 3 of the competition. Dressed in the cutest little boa mini-skirt, Windey werked it to “I Like It” by Pete Rodriguez. “Gabby, you have a superpower of just embodying every dance. You were born to perform,” said Hough. “You definitely redeemed that Cha Cha. Well done.” Perfect Score

Charli D’Amelio and Mark Ballas. Does the frontrunner really need to redeem herself for a past performance? Apparently so: Inaba suggested a repeat of the jive from week 5 during Prom Night. And what a repeat it was: Dancing to “Grown” by Little Mix, D’Amelio positively gleamed while performing Ballas’ terrific choreography. “Charli that was remarkable,” said Inaba. “You have proven yourself so incredible this whole season. This is you, you just danced with your heart.” Perfect Score

Next up, the freestyle round.

Brady and Carson. The game show host channeled his best Bruno Mars in a mixup of “24K Magic” and “Get Up” by Ciara ft. Chamillionaire. It wasn’t his most impressive performance of the season — and he didn’t get to the do a back flip that he asked for in rehearsal — but he was pleased with his “perfect” cap off to the season. “It looks to me you have smash hit in your hands,” said Tonioli. “Honestly, you always perform like the greatest showman on the greatest show on TV.” Perfect score

D’Amelio and Ballas. The reality show star talked about how she stopped dancing after she internalized the hate and negativity from followers on TikTok. Then came DWTS, and she was transformed! She fell back in love with dancing. What a way to end her run in the ballroom: D’Amelio’s number with Ballas was a brilliant hodgepodge of all ballroom’s best — the waltz, the tango, the Quickstep, some tap dancing! — to “Us Again” by Pinar Toprak. Man, does Ballas deserves some bonus pay for returning this season. “I know what it’s like to lose the love of dance,” said a teared up Hough. “That was so powerful, the storytelling, the narrative, but more importantly you two, the connection.” Perfect Score

Shangela and Savchenko. The show’s first drag entertainer used the final rehearsal package to pay tribute to Savchenko and how supportive he was during the season. The two expressed their love for one another before embarking on the mother of all freestyles to “Survivor” by Destiny’s Child and “Call Me Mother” by RuPaul. Where to start? Shangela posing upstage on a sky-high podium before breaking into some rousing pop and lock? Savchenko embodying a new alter-ego named Natasha and bringing down the house? RuPaul, eat your heart out: drag has finally taken over the ballroom and DWTS is all the better for it. “For the first time in 31 seasons I forgot to vote because I was absolutely mesmerized by the whole thing,” said Goodman. “It had performance, it had entertainment.” Perfect Score

Windey and Chmerkovskiy. When he thinks of the Bachelorette, Chmerkovskiy says she reminds him of strength and sexiness, so he wanted to pad that into their final performance. Dancing to “Cell Block Tango” from Chicago, the pair began their number in a cage before exploding into a ferocious tango worthy of Broadway. Bad break for Windey, though; she looked like tripped when the number ended. But you should have seen when the ensemble of men thrust her up into the air! “You are so impressive tonight because something has definitely shifted,” said Inaba. “I’m proud of you for making this journey.” Perfect Score

Before declaring the winner, host Tyra Banks declared the finale received the most votes this season. (If only we knew how many of you actually watched).

Fourth place went to Shangela and Savchenko. Bummer.

Third place went to Brady and Carson.

Second place went to Windey and Chmerkovskiy.

And in the most anticlimactic finish ever, D’Amelio and Ballas win!

Things we learned from season 31: No one cares if two men dance together. Fans still want to see the show create celebrity dancers, not celebrate trained ones. Three seasons of Tyra Banks is plenty, thank you very much. TV can never replace a guy like Len Goodman. And Conrad Green should never leave his role as executive producer ever again.

Until next season, ballroom fans?

The 3 Zodiac Signs With Great Weekly Horoscopes For November 20 - 26, 2022 - YourTango

There's a refreshing hint of change that happens this week and we're all about to pick up on it, and that of course, refers to the transiting of Scorpio sun to Sagittarius Sun...and it's major.

Whether your zodiac sign is extra sensitive to the crossover or not, you'll be feeling it and it will feel like a sense of clarity washing over everyone.

This means that not only will WE be feeling clear-headed and capable, but we'll see it in others as well, and that will be both inspiring and hopeful.

RELATED: The 3 Zodiac Signs Who Will Be Luckiest In Love During The Week Of November 20 - 26, 2022

After all, it's nice to see that others are feeling good; in this way, we know we want to carry on with their work. And during the Sagittarius Sun, beginning on November 22, we like our work very, very much.

That's not to say we'll be working ourselves to the ground during this week, but it is to say that whatever we get ourselves into, we'll be performing at our peak, and we will love what we are doing.

That could be a big change for many people, as we don't always love what we get ourselves into. This week flips that fully into the positive.

RELATED: Each Zodiac Sign's Weekly Horoscope For November 21 - 27, 2022

Joining us this week, to help us on our way, are the helping hand transits of Moon trine Jupiter, Jupiter direct — fantastic news for those of us who have big plans for next year — a New Moon in Sagittarius, Moon square both Neptune and Jupiter and a resulting Moon in Capricorn for the win. Feel good about walking into this week, as the potential here is by far surrounded by positive energy.

The three zodiac signs with great weekly horoscopes for November 20 - 26, 2022:

1. Libra

(September 23 - October 22)

You are feeling alright this week, as nothing seems to distract you from your goal. The closer you get to the Sagittarius Sun on the 22nd, the easier it is for you to concentrate, and you are someone who loves to concentrate. And why? Because that's how you get things done, and there are so many things you want to be done, especially during this week.

You are gifted with vision, and you know that the only way to manifest your brilliant ideas is by setting up a plan that allows you to be on your own, undistracted. This week gives you the perfect opportunity, and you not only know it — you grab it.

The people in your life back off because they know once you're on a roll, only good stuff can come out of it, and you are lucky in this way, Libra...you have many people around you who are willing to support you and your vision.

2. Scorpio

(October 23 - November 21)

Your Sun season may be ending, but you've always been great when it comes to the approach of mighty Sagittarius, and you will find that this week continues on its trend of greatness, as Sag sun takes over the skies.

You are the Scorpio that loves Sagittarius season, as this cusp week gives you insight as to where you want to go with all of your newly found positive energy. You feel powerful during this time, and as Jupiter goes direct after its lagging retrograde, you might even feel as though you've been metaphorically 'unshackled.'

It's as if you've been freed and that freedom leads you into creative acts; you can't wait to get your hands dirty with some wild project — no matter what it is. Sagittarius energy brings out your inner artist and sets you on a course of independent thinking and inhibited creativity.

3. Sagittarius

(November 22 - December 21)

While everyone always cheers for their sign when it comes into season, you are doubly blessed this week as everything is basically coming up Sagittarius. With Jupiter going direct, it's as if Jupiter and Sagittarius are the only cosmic influences in the sky, and that feels mighty fine to you.

What this week affords you are vision and perception; you are no longer bogged down with whatever might have been in your mind. You are able to free yourself from bad habits this week because you put your mind to it and insist on only healing energy and helpful insight. In other words, it is during this week that you flat-out reject negativity and hopelessness.

You are a beacon of hope and optimism this week, Sagittarius, and you shouldn't be surprised if others look to you as a guide for how to get out of 2022 with style and grace.

WWE SmackDown Results: Winners, Grades, Reaction and Highlights from November 18

0 of 8

The Bloodline continued its march to Survivor Series Friday night on SmackDown.
    Credit: WWE.com

With Survivor Series: War Games just eight days away, and a united team of The Brawling Brutes and Drew McIntyre bearing down on them, The Bloodline found themselves reeling for the first time in what felt like an eternity to close out last week's show.

Friday night, the most dominant faction in professional wrestling sought to turn the tide back in its favor as Sami Zayn battled Butch in a SmackDown World Cup Quarterfinal match.

Was The Honorary Uce able to send a message to the Brutes on behalf of The Bloodline and remind them who they are dealing with or did the artist formerly known as Pete Dunne score a win that only further put Roman Reigns and his family on the defensive?

Find out with this recap of the November 18 episode of SmackDown.

The Brawling Brutes and Drew McIntyre kicked off the night's show, still riding high from their message-sending beatdown of The Bloodline on last week's show.

Sheamus called out the long, two-decade history between him and The Scottish Warrior but revealed that their issues have created mutual respect among them. So much so that McIntyre was his best man three weeks ago in New York.

Sami Zayn interrupted the proceedings, arrogantly dismissed the idea of a mystery fifth opponent, and built hype for his match with Butch later in the night.

This was perfectly fine promo work from all involved, with some nice continuity from the babyfaces.

Yes, Sheamus and McIntyre have a long history that includes an Old-Fashioned Donnybrook match on the pre-SummerSlam edition of SmackDown so it was a welcome addition to this show for the two of them to explain why they are suddenly close enough to go into battle together.

Zayn remained as great, and over, as ever and helped elevate the segment with his presence alone.

    B+

    Top Moments

    • "Is this thing on this time?" Sheamus said, motioning toward the microphone in response to last week's technical gaff.
    • The babyfaces momentarily got a "brutey" chant going in response to the "ucey" chant that The Bloodline created as a result of Zayn's antics a few weeks back.
    • "We don't really care who the fifth member is," Zayn said, interrupting the babyfaces and preventing the revelation of their Survivor Series: War Games team.
    • "Ucey in the Sky with Diamonds," Zayn called himself in a great line.
    • "It will be the last thing you expect," Sheamus forewarned Zayn, suggesting he be less arrogant about the identity of The Bloodline's fifth opponent.

SmackDown World Cup Quarterfinal: Ricochet vs. Mustafa Ali

3 of 8

    Credit: WWE.com

On the heels of Monday's Raw, where he suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of Bobby Lashley, Mustafa Ali sought to shake off the effects of the one-sided physicality and defeat Ricochet in the first round of the SmackDown World Cup.

Ali proved resilient, shaking off the crippling injuries to test his opponent. A late 450 splash, though, failed to hit its target as Ali crashed into the mat and drove the air out of himself. Ricochet capitalized and delivered a Shooting Star Press for the win.

This was a strong match with some superb storytelling by way of selling on the part of Ali. The entire thing was built around the idea that he had injured ribs that would adversely affect his ability to compete.

He threw everything he had at his opponent but unfortunately, one miscalculation further injured him and set him up for the finish. It was simple, effective storytelling elevated by Ali understanding the assignment and delivering a grade-A performance.

Ricochet winning sets him up to battle Braun Strowman in the semifinals and given The Monster Among Monster's recent comments about "floppy flop" wrestlers, that one is certainly all the more interesting than its babyface vs. babyface status.

    Result

    Ricochet pinned Ali

    Grade

    B+

    Top Moments

    • During a backstage confrontation, Ali insisted that if he was breathing, he was fighting and told Ricochet he would see him in the ring.
    • Ali delivered a second-rope backstabber to Ricochet to seize control entering the break. In doing so, though, he further injured his ribs.
    • Ricochet rolled through a plancha and countered into a Blue Thunder Drive on the arena floor.
    • Ricochet delivered a Full Nelson suplex, followed with a lariat and standing moonsault for a great near-fall.

Madcap Moss vs. Karrion Kross

4 of 8

    Credit: WWE.com

Three weeks after suffering a humiliating loss to Karrion Kross in which he was put to sleep in the Kross Jacket, Madcap Moss sought revenge against the former NXT world champion one-on-one.

For the second time in as many showdowns, he suffered the same fate.

Despite a strong showing from an intense Moss, Kross was able to lock in the Kross Jacket and force the submission win. After the match, Emma rushed the ring to check on the fallen babyface while Kross taunted from the floor.

This is a potentially beneficial program for both men.

Kross was thrown into an upper-card feud with Drew McIntyre before fans had the opportunity to really invest in him. Moss is a guy who has fallen by the wayside but not has the opportunity to benefit from feuding with a performer in Kross who management clearly sees a lot in.

Letting Kross develop his character on the main roster, and allowing Moss to rebuild momentum and credibility, is the perfect way to go about utilizing both guys in a manner that helps them establish themselves. Adding Emma and Scarlett to the mix for a potential tag team feud is an intriguing possibility, too.

    Result

    Kross defeated Moss via submission

    Grade

    B-

    Top Moments

    • Prior to the match, Emma gave Moss a pep talk, adding to their budding romance storyline.
    • Scarlett cut off a charging Moss, bringing a halt to his momentum.
    • Emma hit the ring to check on Moss after the match and a staredown with Kross and Scarlett teased a potential mixed tag team match in the future.

Bray Wyatt Promo

5 of 8

    Credit: WWE.com

Bray Wyatt made his way to the ring and, once again, waxed poetically about his personal journey to being a better man.

LA Knight interrupted his in-ring promo and claimed to accept Wyatt's apology before smacking him. A second smack unleashed a stoic stare on the face of the intensely angry Wyatt, who did not act on his desires to unleash pain and suffering on Knight, but whose Uncle Howdy persona flashed on the screen behind the NXT export to close out the segment.

The Wyatt-Knight feud may be the most unexpected pairing on WWE television but there are few choices better to torment, taunt and prod at Wyatt, thus unleashing his dark side and giving fans a look at the Eater of Worlds they knew before.

Before this aware, apologetic, forgiveness-seeking incarnation.

The match will be interesting, if only because of the difference in the dynamic of styles, but what fans are really interested in is the next chapter of the Wyatt story. Hopefully, it presents itself sooner rather than later.

    Grade

    B

    Top Moments

    • "Why do I do the things that I do and can I actually change?" Wyatt asked.
    • "The rarest commodity around here is respect," LA Knight said, insinuating that he earned Wyatt's respect a week ago.
    • "Now we're even. Apology accepted. I can go my way, you can go yours," Knight said after slapping Wyatt in the face.
    • "The decision you're about to make right now is going to change the rest of your life," Wyatt said before extending his hand to Knight, who slapped him again

Shotzi vs. Shayna Baszler (with Ronda Rousey)

6 of 8

    Credit: WWE

On the heels of a No. 1 Contender's Match win a week ago, and a backstage attack that left her unconscious, Shotzi sought a measure of revenge against Shayna Baszler.

Accompanying The Submission Magician? SmackDown Women's champion Ronda Rousey, whom The Ballsy Badass will challenge in Boston at Survivor Series: War Games.

The match was interrupted frequently by outside interference, first from Rousey, then Raquel Rodriguez, who looked to prevent further interjections. The distractions caused by them allowed Shotzi to roll Baszler up for the win.

On the surface, Shotzi picking up a win is a big deal and furthers her momentum entering Survivor Series but she was, at any given point, the third or fourth most focused-on star in this segment.

That does not help her or the creative efforts to build her into a star and legitimate threat to Rousey. Unfortunately, this was a creative misfire, especially since Rodriguez ended up being the real deciding factor in this one.

    Result

    Shotzi defeated Baszler

    Grade

    C

    Top Moments

    • A mid-match confrontation between Shotzi and Rousey nearly provided just the distraction the former needed as Baszler nearly collided with her friend on the apron.
    • Raquel Rodriguez appeared, providing another distraction, this one aiding her tag team partner.

Braun Strowman and New Day vs. Imperium

7 of 8

    Credit: WWE.com

After a backstage confrontation earlier in the show between New Day and Imperium led to the making of a Six-Man Tag Team Match for tonight, Braun Strowman joined Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods in the battle against GUNTHER, Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci.

The heels isolated Woods until a hot tag from Strowman sparked a comeback for the babyfaces. He steamrolled Vinci and Kaiser and manhandled GUNTHER in a way that no one has since his arrival in WWE.

A brief tease of a showdown between those two competitors gave way to New Day putting Kaiser away with the Midnight Hour for the win.

The match was fine, but the idea that GUNTHER is afraid of Strowman is ridiculous. He is the Ring General, capable of match power, intensity and ferocity with anyone. If you want to tell the story of him being caught off-guard by the involvement of The Monster Among Monsters, fine, but to book him to look like a coward is asinine and only takes away from his aura.

So much was put on the potential showdown between them if Strowman manages to win the SmackDown World Cup that one has to wonder if the big man suddenly is a red herring, opening up the potential for someone else to emerge from the field victoriously.

    Result

Strowman and New Day defeated Imperium

    Grade

    B-

    Top Moments

    • Gunther is every bit as tall as Strowman and the commentary team did not make enough of a deal about this.
    • GUNTHER chopped the hell out of Strowman, then took off running around the squared circle in fear of the charging monster.
    • As Woods pinned Kaiser, Strowman entered the ring, causing GUNTHER to retreat from the ring.

SmackDown World Cup Quarterfinal: Butch vs. Sami Zayn

8 of 8

    Credit: WWE.com

The Brawling Brutes earned more momentum at the expense of The Bloodline in Friday's main event as Butch defeated Sami Zayn to advance to the semifinals of the SmackDown World Cup tournament.

A distraction caused by Jey Uso and his brawl with Sheamus allowed Butch to catch Zayn with the Bitter End and score the pinfall victory.

After the match, Roman Reigns made his presence felt, entering the arena to a thunderous ovation before laying waste to The Brawling Brutes and Drew McIntyre.

Then, the reveal of the fifth member of the babyface team at Survivor Series: War Games as Kevin Owens entered to an enormous pop.

He uncorked a series of superkicks and left Reigns reeling to end the show.

This was great stuff all around.

The match itself was fun and everything else that followed was even better. The reaction for Reigns was incredible and Owens matched it, the crowd overwhelmingly enthusiastic about his involvement in the feud and the upcoming War Games match.

It remains to be seen how healthy Owens will be by November 26 but if he is even a fraction of 100 percent, one should probably expect another intense performance from the Prizefighter.

    Result

    Butch pinned Zayn

    Grade

    A

    Top Moments

    • Butch wiped out Jimmy Uso on the floor.
    • The brawl between Sheamus and Jey Uso spilled into the ring, then out of it.
    • Solo Sikoa wiped out Butch before engaging McIntyre in a brawl.
    • Reigns made a STAR entrance, the likes of which are reserved for the absolute tippy-top guys in one's industry. The pop, the energy...unrivaled in the business today. Bar none for full-time competitors.
    • Then Owens went and matched that pop.
