Nick first shared the heartbreaking news of Zen's passing during the Dec. 7 episode of his eponymous daytime talk show. According to the 41-year-old comedian, the infant had been diagnosed with a "pretty much a malignant, midline brain tumor," and he and Alyssa took Zen to the beach as one of the final things they did as a family before his passing
Saying that he held his son "for the last time" during that outing, Nick recalled of the moment, "Not only did we get to see the sunrise, but we got to see the sunset too."
During the Jan. 31 episode of The Nick Cannon Show, the actor announced that he was expecting a child with Bre but had previously held off on sharing the news to "respect the grieving process with Alyssa." He explained that he felt the need to confirm the pregnancy after photos of him and Bre attending a baby shower surfaced over the weekend.
"I didn't know what to say when I was dealing with Zen or to hold off," Nick said. "Even right now, that it came out yesterday, that wasn't planned to talk about it. We wanted to, you know, hold on as long as we can, but it happened. We here and I'm with my family."

Mr. Hesseman played a fallen radio star who landed in the Midwest on the popular sitcom, which captured the misadventures of a struggling station.
Howard Hesseman, the actor and improvisational comedian best known for playing a stuck-in-the-’60s radio disc jockey in the TV sitcom “WKRP in Cincinnati,” died on Saturday in Los Angeles. He was 81.
His wife, Caroline Ducrocq, said he died at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center of complications from colon surgery last summer.
Mr. Hesseman received two Emmy nominations for playing Dr. Johnny Fever on “WKRP in Cincinnati,” which ran on CBS for four seasons from 1978 to 1982.
The series portrayed a struggling Top 40 rock radio station, where the staff rages against the age of disco with hard rock and punk songs. Mr. Hesseman’s hard-living character, having been pushed from a Los Angeles station where he was a star, serves as a senior member of the counterculture at the Midwestern outlet after smooth-talking his way into a job.
“I think maybe Johnny smokes a little marijuana, drinks beer and wine, and maybe a little hard liquor,” Mr. Hesseman told The New York Times in 1979. “And on one of those hard mornings at the station, he might take what for many years was referred to as a diet pill. But he is a moderate user of soft drugs, specifically marijuana.”
Johnny Fever was a cherished character on TV who embodied the essential traits of 1960s counterculture: the worship of rock bands; not-so-veiled drug references; long, shaggy hair.
In one scene, he is wearing dark sunglasses while D.J.ing, speaking in a relaxed tone as he leans into the microphone and says in a thick voice, “We’re still rocking on the mighty KRP, where the razor man is standing by to sharpen up your day.”
He told WXYZ-TV Detroit in 2012 that the show was made up of “a lovely company of actors, bolstered by a lovely bunch of writers, so it made going to work fun every day.”
Some were probably not surprised to see Mr. Hesseman excel in that role. In San Francisco, where Mr. Hesseman helped start an improvisational comedy troupe, The Committee, he worked as a radio D.J. in 1967. At the Bay Area station, KMPX, he played “strange tapes” from the rock movement and smoked “a lot of pot — always against my will, of course,” he told People Weekly in 1979.
Mr. Hesseman told The Times in 1979 that he spent 90 days in the San Francisco County Jail in 1963 for selling an ounce of marijuana — a conviction that was later thrown out for entrapment. He would later say that smoking marijuana was “sort of a residual hobby.”
George Howard Hesseman was born Feb. 27, 1940, in Lebanon, Ore., and raised as an only child by his mother and stepfather.
An uncle in Colorado told him about acting, and years later, Mr. Hesseman would say, “Every time that I perform, it’s like repaying him a debt.”
He briefly attended the University of Oregon, but he left school and moved to San Francisco, where he could focus on his career.
Mr. Hesseman, who was also admired for his improvisational talent, played small parts in “The Andy Griffith Show” and “Sanford and Son.”
George Spiro Dibie, the former national president of the International Cinematographers Guild, recalled in an interview with the Television Academy Foundation that Mr. Hesseman’s experience was evident on the set of “Head of the Class,” a sitcom that ran on ABC from 1986 to 1991.
“He was even telling some directors what to do,” he said. Mr. Hesseman played Charlie Moore, a teacher at a Manhattan high school contending with a class of overachieving students.
He landed roles in cult classics like the mockumentary “This Is Spinal Tap,” where he acted alongside Michael McKean, who said on Twitter on Sunday that it was “impossible to overstate Howard Hesseman’s influence on his and subsequent generations of improvisers.”
In 1981, after two marriages ended in divorce, he met Ms. Ducrocq, an actress from France who was visiting Los Angeles. Ms Ducrocq’s friend asked her if she wanted to swim at an actor’s pool, and she said yes.
“I had no idea who he was,” Ms. Ducrocq said, laughing.
She stayed at his place for dinner, and then stayed when he brought out a bottle of Champagne, which, she later learned, he had never drunk in his life. In 1989, they married.
He loved listening to jazz, swimming and catching up with his godchildren, she said.
Mr. Hesseman once said in an interview that “the smile keeps you feeling younger; work keeps you feeling a little bit more agile.”

The “wardrobe malfunction” from the 2004 Super Bowl Halftime Show, when Justin Timberlake ripped off a part of Janet Jackson’s outfit at the end of a song and kicked off an enormous controversy, has hung around as a part of pop culture ever since… though you wouldn’t know it if you only followed Justin Timberlake’s career. He’s gone nowhere but up, more or less, all without ever really acknowledging that Jackson faced pretty much all of the blame for an incident that was definitely more his fault than her fault, so it seemed like an opportunity to make things somewhat right when Timberlake was given a chance to solo headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2018—but Jackson didn’t make an appearance, even when Timberlake referenced the very incident that got her in trouble.
But, according to an appearance from Jackson herself during Lifetime’s two-part Janet Jackson documentary series (via The Hollywood Reporter), she actually turned down an offer to join Timberlake at the Super Bowl in 2018. She says his team asked if she’d be interested in performing with him during the show, and while she admits that it would’ve been nice to get on the stage, it would just be “stretching out the past” and “reliving something that happened over 10 years ago.”
As it turns out, Jackson has moved past what happened in 2004, saying it was “blown way out of proportion” and that, while it “was an accident” that “should not have happened,” there’s no need to keep looking for someone to blame. She says she and Timberlake are “very good friends” and they’ve “moved on.”
Jackson also revealed how Timberlake reacted right after the Super Bowl, saying they “talked once” and he said he wasn’t sure if he should make a statement, to which she said that she didn’t want him to have to deal with “any drama,” adding, “If I were you, I wouldn’t say anything.” Of course, Timberlake should’ve recognized that that doesn’t literally mean “don’t say anything,” so one could argue that it’s still fair to point out that his lack of a response did nothing but benefit him and lay all of the blame on her, but that would be defying her request for everyone to stop searching for someone to blame.
This is also the second documentary project to hit TV in the last few months, with The New York Times’Malfunction: The Dressing Down Of Janet Jackson (which she did not participate in) airing in November.

Most would agree that 2021 was an incredibly difficult year that included plenty of losses, but it also yield the birth of new life. Comedian and SNL vet John Mulaney and actress Olivia Munn welcomed their first child in December, a boy named Malcolm. Now that the baby is almost 2 months old, apparently the couple is allowing visitors, because Pete Davidson dropped by to see the little guy, and the resulting pictures are pretty adorable.
There’s nothing quite as cute as a baby and, apparently, Pete Davidson with a baby is no exception. John Mulaney took to his Instagram stories to share some adorable pictures of Davidson holding his son when he came to visit, and the two look like they really hit it off. You can check out the pair smiling at each other below:
John Mulaney writes “Uncle Pete!” on the photo, making it clear that little Malcolm better get used to Pete Davidson and his antics, because he’ll probably be a regular fixture in his life moving forward. It makes a ton of sense that Mulaney would include Davidson in his parenthood journey, seeing as they've had a tight friendship for years. They told jokes onSNLtogether, have toured together for their comedy shows and have hung out on their off time as well.
John Mulaney shared a second picture on his Instagram story that showed the King of Staten Island star looking up at someone, possibly Mulaney himself, and he is all smiles while holding the child. It’s clear that he's sharing in the joy that the new baby has brought to the family, and appears to be sharing a look of amazement. Check out the snapshot for yourself:
The 28-year-old Pete Davidson doesn't have children of his own, yet one wonders if that could change. Even though he wasn't a part of Megan Fox and Kourtney Kardashian’s “baby daddy” comment at the VMAs, his relationship with Kim Kardashian has been compared to that of both Fox and Machine Gun Kelly and Kardashian and Travis Barker. Both of those couples are now engaged but have yet to grow their families at this point.
Kim Kardashian already has four children with her ex Kanye West and, if things get serious between her and Pete Davidson, he could become a type of father figure to her children. Though West may have something to say about that. Co-parenting with the rapper has apparently been drama-inducing for Kardashian and, if you add in the fact that West doesn’t seem to have much love for Davidson, things get even more complicated.
Despite that, the way Pete Davidson is looking at John Mulaney and Olivia Munn’s new baby, could give the impression that fatherhood isn’t too far off in his mind. He looks absolutely thrilled and completely at home with Malcolm in his arms. I don't know about you all, but I think Daddy Davidson has a nice ring to it.

Khloe Kardashian was spotted heading to dinner with her sister Kim and Pete Davidson earlier this week. Although Khloe was initially ‘surprised’ by the romance, she loves that Pete is ‘chill.’
Kim Kardashian, 41, and Pete Davidson, 28, were perhaps the most unexpected celebrity couple of 2021 — but her sister Khloe Kardashian thinks it’s “awesome” that they’re dating. “Khloe thinks it’s awesome that Kim is dating Pete. Khloe thinks Pete is so different from anybody Kim has ever dated,” a source close to the 37-year-old reality star shared with HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY.
Like many, Khloe was also “surprised” by the romantic turn of their friendship, which began on the set of Saturday Night Live amid Kim’s divorce from Kanye West, 44. “She was just as surprised as everyone else when she found out they were into each other. But she seriously couldn’t be happier,” the insider added, revealing more about that the Good American founder “loves” about the King of Staten Island star. “Khloe loves that Pete is super chill and down to earth. She gets along with him really well and thinks he’s absolutely hilarious. Khloe’s so happy for Kim because she can see that Kim is happier than she’s been in a while.”
Khloe joined Pete and Kim, as well as cousins Olivia Pierson and Natalie Halcro and SKIMS Chief Marketing Officer Tracy Romulus for a dinner at Quarters Korean BBQ in the K-Town neighborhood of Los Angeles. Pete was also spotted in the same area around Christmas, where he stepped out of a convenience store to buy cigarettes (there’s plenty of well-known Korean BBQ restaurants around). After grabbing a bite, the crew decided to hit up the 60out Escape for an escape room exercise.
“Pete is all of these things. Kim’s entire family adores him, to be honest. Pete is unlike any man Kim has ever dated and that is what is so interesting,” they said. “At the same time, he is extremely handsome and charming. He has his own money and a budding career. Her sisters feel that he came into her life for a reason. What they have is genuine. Khloe wishes that she had a man that would put her on a silver platter like Pete does. She is really happy for Kim.”

Last week, Young delivered an ultimatum to Spotify: that he would remove his music unless they took action on Rogan. After his music was taken down on Wednesday, he said he hoped other artists would join him. “I am doing this because Spotify is spreading fake information about vaccines – potentially causing death to those who believe the disinformation being spread by them,” the veteran star explained in a now-deleted letter.
“They can have Rogan or Young. Not both.”
In her statement posted late Friday, Mitchell wrote: “I’ve decided to remove all my music from Spotify. Irresponsible people are spreading lies that are costing people their lives. I stand in solidarity with Neil Young and the global scientific and medical communities on this issue.”
A Spotify spokesperson didn’t immediate respond to BuzzFeed News on Saturday. But in response to Young’s initial criticism, the company said it has “detailed content policies” in place and has removed over 20,000 podcast episodes related to COVID-19.
It wasn’t immediately clear what content would violate its policy, and why the misinformation shared on Rogan’s podcast didn’t qualify.
In the scientists’ letter, they held Spotify responsible for what Rogan and his guests said.
“This is not only a scientific or medical concern; it is a sociological issue of devastating proportions and Spotify is responsible for allowing this activity to thrive on its platform,” the letter concludes.

But that doesn’t mean she couldn’t use some support every now and then,” the source explained. “She’s going through a lot with this Kanye drama, and she couldn’t be more grateful for her mom during this time.
